The Font of the Week is actually two fonts this week but they belong to the same family. Glypha was designed in 1977 by Swiss typedesigner Adrian Frutiger. He is probably best known for the fontfamily named after himself, Frutiger, but I am a bigger fan of Glypha. Especially the thin and light fonts which you see here.
The tall x-height and the big innershapes make it so airy and elegant, while the slab serifs give it a bit of weight and balance. These two fonts are perfect for magazine display type in a huge fontsize!
Buy Glypha at Linotype.
