Let’s take another case of obvious inspiration. In this case I’m pretty sure it was intentional as both are done by Danish designers and are frighteningly similar. Henrik Kubel (A2/SW/HK) came first with his identity work for 1508 from 2001 then came Designbolaget with their identity work for kunsten.nu. See the similarity? There is also the case of Relate which is also made with triangles and also red and blue. But their website is not working at the moment so you can only see what is cached in Google. Maybe they are redesigning?
I’m all for being inspired, after all that is what this blog is all about, but inspiration should not be theft at broad daylight. It should be means to getting started and then giving it your own spin. How about yellow and green triangles? ;-)
