Jasper White vs. Ettore Guatelli

I’ve been intrigued by the Ettore Guatelli museum in Italy for a while now, ever since I found the photos of the carefully collected compositions of things from rural culture. Then today I came across a series called “Sheds” by photographer Jasper White and thought the two very different projects (yet with the same subject) just HAD to be shown together. Tools CAN be beautiful!

Dana Tanamachi is a Brooklym based designer that I recently came across. She is currently working at Louise Fili (one of my all time faves) but she also does her own stuff on the side. Among these are her chalk letterings on walls all over town. I just love them but it’s such a shame that chalk disappears quickly over time.

Bloomberg Businessweek mag

While at the airport on Friday, going for a little weekend getaway, I rediscovered just how cool the magazine Bloomberg Businessweek can be. I love how it’s playful and vibrant and not just all corporate colours (icy cold blue) and dull charts. I wish we had more like this in Denmark.

Sadly, it doesn’t seam like they’ve taken their own meds online, but anyway, you can visit them at: http://www.businessweek.com/

Merry Christmas from My Animal Farm

My two kick ass colleagues Kat and Kej did a Christmas greeting project called “Little Baby Jesus Project“. The project is about alternative nativity scenes and they asked a handful of people to make their version to get the project rolling. You can see my contribution below, the TRUE story! ;-) So now it’s time for all of you to find that Christmas spirit and make your own nativity scene for the project.

I have a soft spot for old techniques used in new and exciting ways. Like embroidery for example, just check out the work by San Fran artist Lauren DeCioccio. I love her series “Sewn News” where she’s taken newspaper clippings an embroided the pictures. It’s brilliant!

“I like to make things with stuff” :-D a quote from from Sean Freeman’s website. Here’s a few super nice type treatments by the London based illustrator. I’m especially fond of the the lasercut wood piece, wouldn’t mind that on my office wall. I like to make things with stuff too!

Ah & Oh Studio

It seams I have a slight fixation on perfume this week cause I’m gonna share one more with you today. This project is done by Ah & Oh studio. They took characters from great and dark litterature and made this line of men’s fragrances. Loving it! I think it’s totally masculin, but also fun with a dark and quirky twist.
