I was given a tip to check out German designer Maria Fischer’s project “Traumgedanken”. It is a book project about dreams, but I think it’s safe to say that she challenges the concept of hyperlinks, only here in printed media and with the use of thread. You just have to see for yourselves. I think it’s a brilliant project and so well executed.

Check out the cool photo compositions by Scheltens & Abbenes. I came across their work in a series they did for Wallpaper where they deconstructed a pair of jeans and made various photo collages. But they’ve also done various other cool creative product shots.

Yummy! Just came across this beautiful font called Retiro. I’m sucker for neo classisistic font and I’m a sucker for ornaments and this font puts all that together in a modern way. I think it’s quite trendy and will do so well in editorial.

Mmmmm look at these spreads by UK studio Sawdust. Am totally loving the font, it seams a bit inspired by viking runes, there seams to be a trend in that direction going on. Nice bike too ;-)

I came across this identity for Edgeboard by Swedish Hampus Jagelund, it’s really simple, but I’m loving the concept of the E and the B folded over the corner.

I came across this line of packaging for dairy products done by Russian studio Depot WPF. The job just won bronze at the Epica awards and I was amazed by how courageous the chosen style was. As a designer, I think this looks briliant, but I’m wondering if the consumer would go for an organic product with metal fencing on it. It’s a really interesting problem in any case.

I am really bad at drawing so I really admire people who seam to doodle absentmindedly and come up with amazing stuff. That’s why I love Italian artist Fupete. It looks so easy to him! I wish I could have walls like these at the school where I work, it would reek creativity!
