I spent my New Year’s eve in Germany and it gave me a good opportunity to get my hands on one of my fave mags, German Tush. I’ve showed you this mag before but it’s just so good that I want to share a bit more with you. It’s the photography, the typography, the in your face styling and everything else shaken together like a perfect cocktail where you can taste everything and everything suits each other. It’s just yummy!

I’ve had these two wonderful projects in folders on my desktop for a while and only just realised that they were done by the same studio, New Zealand based Supply. I think it’s really interesting to see two such different solutions for the “same” product from the same studio, that definitely shows visual versatility. Is there such a thing as a cider packaging expert, then these guys are it I guess! ;-)

I came across the series “Smoking Kids” by Belgian photographer Frieke Janssens and really loved it. It reminds me a little of Jill Greenberg’s crying kids (she snatches candy from them to make them cry!) but it’s just taken even further. I just love the shock effect of these images, sure to get some people well provoked.

Phew! Have been a little under the weather over Christmas and New Year’s but it’s time to get back in the saddle. In my isolation I came across the cover for Swedish band Familjen on iTunes and wanted to have a closer look. I think it’s really good, the colours are so fresh and the different compositions so lively. It’s done by Swedish studio Bergen and I really wanna see more of their stuff. Come on Hanne! Update your website! ;-)
