I’ve featured Wink before but I just came across this new project from their hand that I really want to feature. This is a visual identity for an ice cream shop called Honey & Mackie’s and I think it says everything it should about ice cream. Puts me in the mood for scoop of strawberry right now!

It’s a gloriously sunny day in Copenhagen, I wonder if spring might actually be coming….FINALLY!!! I’m really looking forward to summer, when we can sit outside and drink cold beer, except I don’t actually like beer. But I do like the idea of having one of these lovely summer Ringnes beers in my hand. Would look good anyway.
The packaging was designed by Norwegian Teipu.

Fabric care? Sexy? hmmm….I don’t think so. So if you can make it look this good you have something going for you. Should be a lesson that you can challenge even the most boring assignment with creativity. It was designed by French designer Jean Touitou who’s website is currently undergoing revamping so do come back to it in the future.

Uhhh!! was on a bit of a shopping spree today and came across this perfume with a wonderfully simple design. It’s part of a series and I’m not particularly fond of the overall design of the rest of it, but just thought I’d show you this one!

In honour of a dear whiskey loving colleague returning from diaper duty, today is whiskey roundup day. To tell you the truth I have no idea if some of these are even worth drinking, but they look good! Check out prior booze posts for gin and vodka too :-)

Another young designer today. I came across these beer bottles by New York based design graduate Abby Brewster and was so happy. It’s so good to see executions that challenge the clichés of the media they’re in. I love that the label isn’t just a square on the bottle but a ribbon running around it. Maybe she saw the 12 inches juices by War Design but she still made it her own and I think it’s super good.

So by now you’ve gathered that I have a weakness for bottled stuff, or rather the design of it. Whether it’s water or wine I love seing good design in the bottle as media. That’s why I was so happy to come across Norwegian studio Designersjourney. They’ve done a love of packaging for wine and spirits and they do it really well.

I should really get some breakfast in me, but I’ll blog about it instead! Here’s a series of Swedish crisp bread with really nice package design.

The third series of the Six Scents fragrances is now out. I’m not quite as fond of the packagaing for this series as the two prior but it’s still pretty damn cool. See for yourselves!
See series 1 and 2.
For some reason I keep coming across really cool chocolate, it’s quite bad for my weight! But must show you Chocolate Editions cause they did a chocolate pie chart which is super cool. Great way to suck up to your info graphics teacher :-) All their chocolate bars have really nice and simple patterns too.
