There seams to be a trend about anatomy and bones in graphic design these days. Here’s another example, a really beautiful exploration of the anatomy of type by Swedish studio Solution.

I think if it’s possible to talk about a font being sexy (you know what I’m talking about right?!?!) then this is it. I don’t know if it’s the name that makes me think lingerie or if it’s just the crazy yet strangely attractive curves but this baby is HOT. I have no idea what to use it for though, I just like it.

I have long been wanting to do some type work with organic materials, that’s why I was fascinated with these two pieces by one of my huge idols Mr. Sean Freeman. He rocks! I keep looking at these trying to find “mistakes”, you know, clues on how he did it. But it is of course PERFECT!

The other day I realised that I have now run this blog for 4 years, I hadn’t even noticed! So I got curious and went back to check out my very first post and it was Betsy Dunlap, my fave calligrapher of all time. A lot has happened since so I thought I’d give you a little update on Betsy, cause she kicks ass!

As always when I see really pretty drawings I get very jealous. So Jakub Konvica’s work basically makes me green with envy. Damn him and his mad drawing skills!

Today is a surreal day at work and I think I need to be a bit silly with my daily post. So coming across Martin Nicolausson’s sausage font was perfect timing. I love it! We don’t always have to be so serious, sometimes we need a laugh and sausages just work!

Check out these lovely letterings by André Beato, I love the detailing in them and it’s great to see his many different styles.

I do just LOVE contrastful fonts so it was one of those high pitched moments when I discovered the numeral font Pompadour by Andy Mangold. Free to download as well! I am SO gonna use this. But Andy, why don’t you finish the whole font huh? Please, pretty please with sugar on top?

I just discovered this wonderful font yesterday, and I’m in love! Yes yes, it’s quite girly and frilly but I just love the contrast and the swashes. I want!
