If you like packaging then you will love Container, a packaging company based in Australia and China. All their work is very simple and elegant but there’s always just a little something extra.

I just came across one of UK designer Christopher Gray’s many websites. This guys does a lot of stuff but one of them is a website with poster compositions. The website is so simple, but I just love the look of it. It’s just frames hanging on a wall, of course! Check out the great colours and compositions.

WOW! I just came across the newest book from Jonathan Safran Foer, what a beauty! Jonathan’s books always have great covers, but this time it’s gone even further. London based designer Sara de Bondt has made an almost sculptural piece out of the book called “Tree of Codes”. Very fitting! The little film shows the process. AMAZING!

Just one more speaker from Typo Berlin I want to mention. Thomas Lupo did a wonderful presentation of a project he had done with Favela kids in Brasil. It’s a streetart project and it is so moving to see how creative these kids are. You can support the project by buying the wonderful book he’s made to document it.

Back from Berlin and had a great time. One of my fave speakers was definitely Christoph Niemann who ended the conference yesterday. Very funny man! :-D I’ve been a fan ever since I saw his Lego project a few years back, let’s just enjoy a bit of it one more time ;-)

Yesterday I went to see the most briliant talk at Typo by twins Martin and Thomas Poschauko. They’ve done a book about creativity and they showed various series from the book. Basically the book is about how many variations of one piece you can actually do, and it’s a BIG book. In this project they had two components, a portrait of a man and the words Nea Machina. Here’s just a few pages from the book and the trailer. Please go see the videos on the webpage to get the full Nea Machina experience!

I’m coming to you from Berlin these days. I’m here to attend the Typo conference so before I’ll be filled up with typography inspiration I’ll just give you a bit of illustration for variation. Here’s Belgian illustrator Gwénola Carrére, I really like the way she mixes in handlettering and that the style is quite clean edges but not “Illustratory” (in lack of better word!). Lovely!

I have totally fallen in love with this font from Virus Fonts called Tourette. I was laughing so hard when I downloaded the font sample and it was written like someone with tourette. I know tourette is a serious matter and that it’s no fun for people who have it, but I must be politically incorrect this one time and say that this is funny.
