WOW! I recently came across the work by NY based Phillip Low. It is so simple, but just stunning! He creates geometric shapes in plexi and uses light and colour to create beautiful compositions. Sooooo pretty!
Not mu ch to see on his website, but google him if you wanna see more.

God I love the portraits by French illustrator Seb Jarnot. They are so contrastful and when you see then in media they work even better. I love how they become these lively spots in newspapers when well integrated. FAB!

A few weeks ago I went to the opening of Limited Works, an online gallery that sells screen prints with the philosophy that everyone should be able to afford art. There were some really nice pieces, I think my fave was the one by Sofie Hannibal. Go have a look!

It’s been a liiiiiittle quiet here at the lab these days, have been super busy! But I’m back in full swing with Damien Poulain, it’s time for a bit of fun right? I noticed the work that Damien did in an exhibition curated by Erik Kessels exploring what graphic design is. Damien’s candy masks was a real treat (pun intended!) for me as I am a designer who loves to do stuff with my hands too. Enjoy! (sorry for any instant sugar cravings). Also LOVE the totem series that he did, they somehow seam like an homage to the Eames dolls.

Check out the work by Swedish Niklas Lundberg aka. Diftype. I’ve been looking at his work for a while without being able to figure out if I actually like it or not. And I’ve finally decided that if it makes me feel like this it is DEFINITELY interesting and deserves a mention. Judge for yourself, I think it’s a quite original style. A little dark and creepy…yes, I think I like it! :-D

I don’t know what it is about the type work by Anthony Burrill I just really like the simplicity and strong colours…and in the words of Mr. Burrill “I like it. What is it?”

I never really got into watching Dexter although it looks quite good and I really LOVE the title sequence by Digital Kitchen. I also really like these posters for the series by Mattson Creative. There’s a nice retro feel and lovely texture. For some reason I’m reminded of the Pink Panther when I see them. That might just be me :-)

Am I the only one who’s looking forward to the new season of Mad Men like a kid before Christmas?!?!?! Ohhhh can’t wait. That’s why I was thrilled with these posters by Radio from South Africa. It seams I have a kindred spirit. Lots of other great work to check out too.
