I think it might be safe to say that photographer Karine Laval has a thing about pools and I totally share her fascination. Reminds me of summer holidays in LA as a kid. Have a look at this series, I love the shots where you can’t really figure out what’s reflection and what’s underwater. Nicely done!

I came across these lively compositions by Buenos Aires artist Silvana Mosquera who also goes under the name Al Borde Llama (I think!). It’s just nice to see some lively colours, sharp contrast to winter depressing grey Copenhagen.

See more work on her Flickr page.

I was so happy when I came across this series of books released by Penguin (who else, Penguin rocks!) Award winning art director Paul Buckley has commissioned different artist to do covers in thread and the first of the series is Jillian Tamaki. Wow! WOW! I love these, whoever said that books were a dying breed should look at these and dare say that again. Books are definitely not obsolete, especially not if we make them something special for people to experience and in this field of expertise Penguin is the master. Can’t wait to see the series continue!

See more on the project at Penguin.

I somehow ended up on the blog of Korean Spunky Zoe and was a mixture of creeped out and amazed. I just love these drawings but I think I might have nightmares if I look at them too much.

There seams to be a levitation trend going on in photography, both pros and amateurs seam to be doing this. I was however quite amazed when I came across the Japanese photo blog Yowayowa, a girl doing levitation portraits of herself. I love that she does this everyday, and I love the description of the content on her blog “Photographs mainly levitating self-portraits (and cats not levitating)” what a great mixture :-D Enjoy!

I think if it’s possible to talk about a font being sexy (you know what I’m talking about right?!?!) then this is it. I don’t know if it’s the name that makes me think lingerie or if it’s just the crazy yet strangely attractive curves but this baby is HOT. I have no idea what to use it for though, I just like it.
