Oh yum! Look it this little number by Porchez Typofonderie. It’s a moderne take on a neo classisistic font I’d say. And isn’t it just so special? It’s definitely in my virtual shopping basket.

Have a look at the work by photographer Marc McAndrews. I’m quite fascinated with his style. He does not seam to prettify ANYTHING but the more you look at his work the more beautiful it gets.

PS. Doesn’t that waitress kinda look like Britney Spears, the un-glam version?

Check out Greek studio Beetroot. It’s great to flip through their work because there’s such a huge variation. From quirky little character illustrations to really upmarket fashiony work.

Kinda continuing the theme of reflections and metalics from the last post, here’s Idan Friedman’s tin container portraits. I just LOVE that they’re so carefully done in a material that isn’t often used to create something aesthetic. FAB!

Do you know the paintings by Belgian artist Olivier Vrancken? No? Neither did I a few days ago but I stumbled across his work while in Berlin and totally fell in love with his style. It is fab to click through his Flickr account because although you can tell it’s all him his style has kinda gone in different and yet all equally interesting directions. Some is more detailed in working with pattern, some work more in big soft colour blocks. Stunning!

So since I’m in Berlin I figure it’s appropriate to blog a few Berlin based graphic designers. So here’s HelloMe. I’m especially impressed with these two projects for music clients. One centered around exploring colour and one a really original display type I just think they both rock!

I’m coming to you this week from Berlin. I’m here with my students breathing in inspiration. Was book shopping yesterday and while flipping through the book from ‘100 Beste Plakate’ (100 best posters) my eye caught the one below from Raffael Stüken, graphic designer based in Cologne. Totally love the crazy composition and contrast. I really like his posters overall!

Hey, did you see the TED talk by French streetartist/photographer JR? If not take a 20 minute break, kick back and enjoy. He won the prize for best talk of 2011 and it’s not hard to understand why. His paste up projects are so wonderful in their simplicity. I especially love the one called ‘Women’.

Check out photographer Steve Keros. I first noticed his work when I came across his portrait of Thom Yorke. Being a HUGE Radiohead fan I immediately LOVED it. Lots of cool shots!
