The paintings by Sam Weber kinda creep me out but I’m also totally in awe. His technique for creating these freezing cold pieces is just astounding!

I only just came across Swedish illustrator Martin Nicolausson but totally love his work. It is so detailed but still full of live and movement. I’m also very happy to see the mixture in textures.

When was the last time you saw a black light used in a cool way? (and NOT to reveal body fluids in TV crime shows) Well here’s one! The paintings by Japanese artist Houxo Que work best when seen in the dark. The colours are just amazing and the contrast between the delicate motifes and the runny vibrant colours is just ACE!

Glitch art is a true love of mine. The reason is that I think it lends texture to the digital media which is otherwise hard to get/create. Just look at the work by Kim Asendorf, so full of energy and life in all its imperfection.

Check out the work by photographer Todd Antony. I came across his beach shots and totally loved it. But then when I researched a bit I just loved the “pretty ugly” look even more. Super work!

Oh dread oh horror! I forgot to wish you all a Happy Valentine yesterday! How rude of me! Here’s a few cutesy hearts from Darling Clementine to make up for it. Totally love it. I know it’s kinda sweet for my taste but I still think it’s wonderful.

I came across Skip Sterling’s illustration work totally by chance and was so happy. The use of soft warm colours coupled with strong bold imagery is super convincing. The juxtaposition almost creeps me out a little bit and I LIKE IT!!

Polish designer Dorota Pawiłowska has made this wonderful series of posters with titles of Kurt Vonnegut’s books. I love how they are clearly a series but each one is a different composition with different focus and weight.

I do love seeing great conceptual ideas executed in an approachable manor. Like the amazing illustration below by Emiliano Ponzi dealing with Wikileaks. I just love the simple symbolism of it.

HEEEELLLLOOOOOO?!?!?!?!?!!? I think I might be writing into a big silent orbit now, because it’s been so quiet here for way too long. Longest time I’ve ever neglected you guys. Could hardly remember the password to my WordPress. But I have an excuse (yes, yes excuses, excuses!) I BROKE MY ARM! I now have a big titanium thingy in my arm and a big suicide like scar on my wrist. It’s nasty! I’ve wanted a tattoo for a long time and my friends think I should make wonderfully pretty lettering around the scar saying “It’s not what you think”….hmmmm…not quite sure about that!
But I need to get back into the saddle and get blogging again so here’s Luke Lucas. Doesn’t his name sound like a superhero? I love it! He does amazingly crafted lettering which is my fave thing in the world.
