Look at the these wonderful illustrations by Nick Lu. He also does wonderful lettering but I’m so in love with his illustrations. Some of them are rough naive shapes with lots of texture and others are very detailed with loads of colour. I am loving the versatility!

Chances are if you’ve been in an H&M sometime in the last couple of years you’ve seen the work by illustrator Lovisa Burfitt but maybe you didn’t know who she was so I want to pay her proper credit cause I LOVE her work. The illustrations are so rough around the edges but still super beautiful and feminine. I love that contrast! The difference in strokes and textures make these work so well.

OK it’s official now and I can shout it from the rooftops: I’M SPEAKING AT TYPO BERLIN!!!!!!!!!!!!….as you can probably tell I’m slightly exhited about that ;-) I go there every year with my students and I can’t believe that THIS year I’ll be there to speak. Quite daunting, but also really REALLY awesome! Come watch if you’re there Thursday at 3 pm.
Check out the impressive list of speakers. It’s win win for me really, as there will also be lots of other speakers that I want to see. Like Kate Moross and Jessica Walsh just check out the fab work below.

I have blogged MASH before but I’ll do it again cause I just love their work. It’s been a while since I visited their website and they seam to have changed their style a bit. Maybe new designers on board? Still love it though. Still rocking the wine industry with their awesome work. Check out the Chef’s Special Latino edition, it won them a D&AD and I find it so full of life and invigorating to look at. Yum! The other editions that they did are also super!

I am WAYYYYY behind on posting. But still here! Just working super hard. But hey! It’s time for the weekend and what’s more party friday than confetti? Ohh how I’d wish this place was in Copenhagen. I think I might have to book an extra seat coming back from NYC when I go in September for one of those pinatas.
